      INCREDIBLE LADAKH / KASHMIR
I T I N E R A R Y

Day 1: ARIVAL SRINAGAR:
On arrival our representative will receive you at the Srinagar airport and transfer to houseboat for relaxation. Afternoon shikara ride on the Dal Lake, visiting floating/vegetable gardens. Dinner and overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboat
Day 2: SRINAGAR LOCAL SIGHTSEEING:
Morning after breakfast sightseeing of the Mughal Gardens, visiting Nishat Bagh built by Asaf Khan, the brother-in-law of Emperor Jehangir in 1632 A.D. Shalimar Bagh was built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Nur Jahan. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background, later drive back to houseboat for hot lunch and afternoon free for leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboat
Day 3: SRINAGAR TO GULMARG:
Full day trip to Gulmarg (The meadow of flowers) 2730 mts, above sea level. The distance of 56 kms, will be covered in about 2.5hours. Gulmarg has one of the highest golf courses in the world with 18 holes. You can also enjoy a view of Nanga Parbat if the weather permits. The view en route from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. The Gondola Lift for mountain rides is also available. Later afternoon drive back to Srinagar and transfer to houseboat for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: SRINAGAR TO KARGIL VIA SONAMARG:
Morning departure by car/coach to Kargil, enroute stops include Sonamarg and Baltal hamlets, famous for rugged snow peaked meadows. Past Baltal cross over Zoji-La Pass (11,500 ft). we are in Drass valley with strikingly different landscape dotted with remote mud huts giving an impression that you really have traveled back in time. Reach Kargil by afternoon and transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 5: KARGIL TO LEH:
Morning after breakfast drive towards Leh enroute do visit to the famous Mulbekh Monastery, perched on a mountain over the village of the same name, known for the huge image of Buddha carved from a giant rock. After Mulbekh, continue on towards Leh and you will come across famous Lamayuru monastery which was built in the 11th century. Late afternoon reach Leh and transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: LEH AND SURROUNDINGS:
Today's we start easy day with visiting to the Leh Bazaar, Leh Palace and Sankar gompa, the women's vegetable market in the afternoon. This evening the visit to the Sankar monastery, Tsemo Gompa, It is situated above the Leh Palace and was built in 1430. It contains a 47 ft. high statue of the Buddha, which the Ladakhi call Chamba (Matriya Buddha). According to buddhism this splendid statue is known as future Buddha. Butter lamps burn day and night in front of this statue. Sankar Gompa which is Just 2 miles from Leh and is the monastery that has a formidable collection of miniatures of pure gold and a number of exciting paintings. It is well lit and you will visit in the eveningl. Drive back to hotel and overnight.
Day 7: LEH TO PANGONG LAKE AND LEH:
Early morning, drive by motor car towards the beautiful Pangong Lake which is about 144 km long, with 60% of it being in China. The lake is so beautiful and massive it keeps changing colour as per the variation of the sunlight and you can se lots of wildlife like marmot, mountain goat, yak etc on the way to Pangong.
Interesting thing during this trip is the Changla pass from where you will just get the ultimate views of the snowy clads. Afternoon after lunch drive back to Leh and transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 8: LEH TO DELHI:
After breakfast you will transfer to the airport to board the flight to Delhi.
